Brett Maline is a Los Angeles based, multi-hyphenate, award-winning disabled actor/writer/director. From small town Nebraska, he's niche because he lives with a rare type of scoliosis and drives a crappy PT Cruiser.
With his latest film just being named a finalist for Best Actor and Best Film respectively in this year’s Disability Film Challenge, he performed in the 2024 CBS Paramount Showcase earlier this year while being named to the 2023 Inevitable Foundation Elevate Collective Cohort where he received a grant and executive mentorship to develop his original TV and film scripts. Brett also wrote for the 2nd season of Marvel's Loki while developing his half hour comedy with Sony Pictures Television, supervised by Dayna Lynne North. The show is based on his award winning short film he wrote, directed, and starred in. Brett is pleased to be making his foreign film directorial debut this year with MAI, a film they shot in Tokyo last year.
With appearances on CBS, NBC, FOX, Amazon Prime, and Disney, Brett is a former cast member of the Groundlings Sunday Company alumni, and a UCB house sketch team veteran. He continues to write, direct, and produce videos for his YouTube channel Genuine Jerks that has been featured on the Today Show, Good Morning America, and Vulture.
